So there’s a lot of questions about that. How does that actually work? How can we actually do that without getting within six feet of each other and social distancing? Well, I’ll tell you a little bit about that. First, Columbia Cash Home Buyers, we are based in Columbia, South Carolina. We buy locally so anywhere in the Midlands. And what we’re actually doing now is utilizing technology to help us continue to work, because our business is buying houses. That’s what we do. We’re here to help you.
Specifically, we help people that might have issues selling a house the normal way, or they need to move it fast. So a house that’s in disrepair that might be unsafe, we buy those. And we repair them, and put them back out there for the community. A house that needs to go quick, so if you would rather have cash in your hand today or tomorrow, quickly, if you need that cash now, and have this property that’s unwanted, you don’t want the house, you don’t want the property to deal with, we can do that much faster than typical ways of selling. If there’s a title issue, something that has to be worked out, and it’s going to take a lot of work. You’ve got errors or a divorce situation of kids or something like that, people that have to come together to sign it, and it’s a little bit more difficult, or it’s just not ready to transfer the title, we can help with that. That’s just what we do. We take the time and we worked through those issues.
Probate issues, we could do that, tax liens, bad tenants. If you get tenants in the house that are messing it up, or you just don’t want to deal with it anymore, it could be good tenants, we’ll take those, too. Any of those situations make it a little difficult to sell the typical way, or it just takes too long, especially now with this coronavirus, selling the typical way is going to take longer. But if you sell to us, and let me tell you a little bit about that technology we’re using, so you’ve probably heard a Zoom calls by now. We’ve actually been using that for a little while now, so we could set up a Zoom call where you’ll walk through the house and show us everything.
If there’s a tenant living in it, you don’t even have to do that, because we don’t want to get you close to the tenant, and social distancing. We’ll actually contact with the tenant, and have them FaceTime, or Google Hangouts, or a Zoom call, so that we could see the interior and exterior of the home. And we could actually make offers based on that video, which is amazing. We can do it super fast. We are still giving the offers out within 24 hours of contacting us. So we could do a lot of these straight from the computer just from looking at the records that we already have. We also are able to, if it’s a vacant house, we can come to, and we can actually do the photographs, and we can do it ourselves as long as government allows us to get on the road. But we can do that, if it’s a vacant house, no problem. We will go take care of it.
We’ve got gloves. We’ve got Lysol wipes, we’ll hand sanitizer, we’ll do all that, the whole nine yards. We don’t even actually have to meet at the attorney’s office anymore. Y’all, that was kind of the hardest thing is in a typical closing, have everybody all in one room, and everybody is next to each other. We don’t have to do that anymore. We can actually send your paperwork to you, and all you have to do is get a notarized, and that’s super easy, way easier than coming downtown to an attorney’s office, and sitting for hours while all the paperwork is signed, no more. We will actually send you the paperwork, you sign it, and the money gets wired straight to your account. You don’t even have to leave your house to sell a home.
